Sri Veena Vani Music School was established in the year 1974 and carries the legacy as a prestigious & renowned institution till date. We have made tremendous achievements by imparting music education to over 25,000+ students till date in the age group of 4 to 70 years. About 14 different instruments and vocals in both Carnatic and Hindustani styles, as well as light music and playback singing are taught here.

Carnatic classical music which has grown to the heights of Himalayas has been adapted by various kinds of western musical instruments and efforts are still being made in adapting it. we were successfull in achieving Guinness book of world under the category of world’s largest keyboard ensemble in playing the National Anthem, National song and a carnatic raga on a western instrument towards a social cause.
Previous Activities
Sri Veenavani School of Music has conducted many stage shows which have been extensively covered by all major newspapers. For four years, the talent-search show, ‘Pratibhanveshane’ has been attended by about 3000-4000 people. We have also conducted a show where the proceeds have been used to purchase books for the less-fortunate students among us. Our program called Taare Zameen Par, has attracted about 5000 people, and all proceeds in the form of ticket sales have gone to charity. This is apart from the annual stage show conducted by our school which showcases the talents of all our students.
The School’s History
This school was started by Vidwan Sri Sampath Kumar Sharma, and was mentored by him for 23 years. He was the student of Mysore Aasthana Vidwan Sri Somashekhar Rajamani.
Dr. B Gireesh Kumar
Dr. B Gireesh Kumar, who is the student of Sri Sampath Kumar Sharma, has been nurturing this prominent institution for the past 20 years. He is proficient in 8 instruments and 4 types of vocals. He started his education in music at the age of 6 years & emerged as the sensational winning director of a State-level Drama Competition at the age of 19. He has successfully directed 23 dramas in Kannada and 1 in Hindi. He has also composed splendid music for over 450 stage plays and more than 100 regional language feature films and short films.
Dr. B Gireesh Kumar has worked as an Assistant Music Director and Sound Engineer under most of the Music Directors of the Kannada Film Industry. Many of the films he has worked on have gone on to become sensational super-hits, which include
